NSW/ACT Division Conference & Dinner

The 2018 NSW/ACT Conference & Dinner once again took place at The Westin Sydney, on Thursday 7 June.

The full-day conference was followed by fantastic networking opportunities at the Dinner with pre-drinks and a sit-down three course meal in The Westin's Ballroom.

Cybersecurity – a ‘real-time example’ – Paul Black, Partner at KPMG will unwrap the impact and implications of Cyber Security Incidents, from global breaches that hit the news to national attacks that impact Australian businesses every day.

The implications of the new Mandatory Breach Notifications legislation and privacy issues
– Stephen Rennick, Executive Director at Ferrier Hodgson.

Making change management work – Aaron McEwan, Senior Director and Advisory Leader at Gartner on helping employees to deal with the impacts of restructuring while keeping them engaged and productive in the process.

Bankruptcy update panel – focusing on day-to-day issues for practitioners. Chaired by Kirsten Farmer, Partner at DWF (Australia), who will be joined by Jason Porter, Director, SV Partners; Chad Rapsey, Director, Rapsey Griffiths Insolvency + Advisory; and Andrew Scott, Partner, PPB Advisory.

Illegal phoenix activity an update on ASIC's initiatives and whole of government approach to tackling illegal business restructures presented by Carl Sibilia, Senior Manager, Insolvency Practitioners, and Joe Zubcic, Senior Manager, Small Business Compliance & Deterrence, ASIC.
