Natasha Riach RITF

Natasha is a senior legal advisor to Claims Funding Australia, the litigation funding arm and wholly owned subsidiary of Maurice Blackburn. She is a Special Counsel based in Maurice Blackburn’s Adelaide office.

Natasha has over 25 years of experience in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution and is recognised as a leading insolvency law specialist in Doyle's Guide and as '2022 Lawyer of the Year' in 'Best Lawyers' for Insolvency and Reorganization in Adelaide. She has extensive experience in forensic investigations, public examinations and litigating complex matters involving insolvent trading, breach of director duties, voidable transaction and other corporation law issues.

Prior to joining Maurice Blackburn, Natasha had roles as a partner at a leading national law firm heading up the SA/NT insolvency and restructuring team, and in a boutique insolvency law practice to achieve commercial, innovative and strategic solutions for a broad range of clients. She regularly acted for liquidators and trustees in corporate and personal insolvency appointments to pursue complex recoveries. Her practice also extended to security enforcement for major banks and other lenders, shareholder disputes and corporate fraud. Natasha currently provides litigation funding finance and strategic support to insolvency practitioners and other claimants across Australia.

She is a member of the Law Council of Australia Insolvency and Reconstruction Committee.

Natasha is an ARITA Fellow, a member of the SA/NT Committee since 2019 and held the Deputy Chair role from 2020 until 2024. In 2024, Natasha joined the ARITA National Board as the SA/NT Board representative.
